Authorities further allege a long-term investigation, spanning from 2006 to October 2013, discovered the individuals were conspiring to distribute, and possessing with intent to distribute, crack cocaine and marijuana. Eight of the 11 individuals who were arrested were also charged with possessing and discharging firearms.

Police observed the man was as he walked along a road without a flashlight, about to be struck by a passing car. The officer attempted to talk to the man in the parking lot of a local gas station, but he hit the officer in the face, tried to steal his radio, and took off running.

Actress Amanda Bynes strongly denies drug charges

Recently, former child actress Amanda Bynes vigorously denied drug charges filed against her by the New York Police Department, and denied reports that she had thrown a bong out of her luxury apartment building in New York City. Bynes was charged with drug possession, tampering with evidence and reckless endangerment. The police had been called to her apartment after she had been observed by a building employee allegedly rolling, lighting and smoking a marijuana joint in the building's lobby. Police observed heavy smoke and a bong allegedly sitting in a window, which police say Bynes tossed out in front of them.
